What is consumer behavior? Consumer behavior is the actions on the consumer when they make a decision, use of a product, use of a video and other behavioral activities. These activities are important for business to study and take information in. 

Consumer Buying Behavior - Digital Vs the Real World

Why it's important for business? 


Consumer behavior is important because business can analysis the consumers behavior. It looks at the choices the buyers will make and how it's surroundings affect their choices. 

Business focus on 3 factors 

* Personal 
* psychological 
* social 


5 Major Factors Affecting Consumer Behavior
For example, in stores they put the most expensive items at eye level on the shelf. This is an example of psychological choice. Many people aren't willing to look up or down when shopping. 

Personal factors such as cultural, age and gender affect the choices they make. A cultural can affect a restaurant or stores. It's more beneficial for appeal to the majority instead of the minority. It's important to look at consumers behavior so you can benefit a business. If a consumer appeals to buy item A over item B then it's more likely to buy more of Item A then it is B.
